## Frequently asked questions Find answers about Zeta's purpose, limitations, synthetic data boundary, platform support, and local usage. Zeta is a Windows-first Godot .NET desktop prototype for managing synthetic digital inventory and synthetic orders. It simulates order fulfillment workflows without connecting to a live marketplace. The `DEMO-` prefix enforces Zeta's synthetic boundary. Imported codes, products, item and model identifiers, recipients, order IDs, and fixture evidence must use the prefix. This prevents accidental use of real data. No. Zeta is a prototype, not a production fulfillment system. It excludes live commerce integration, production authentication, real delivery, automatic fulfillment, deployment signing, and portable recovery. No. Zeta does not make live Shopee calls. The Shopee reference material in the repository is documentation only. The marketplace and delivery adapters are entirely synthetic and run in memory. Normal execution supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. The `--smoke-test` and `--demo-preview` modes work on other platforms by using isolated temporary workspaces. Zeta rejects normal execution on non-Windows platforms. Zeta writes a transactional effect marker before starting synthetic delivery. If delivery is interrupted, the order moves to `REVIEW_REQUIRED` and assigned units are quarantined. Zeta never automatically retries uncertain work. Zeta stores data locally at `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Zeta\Synthetic-v1`. The directory contains the SQLite database, ownership lock, DPAPI-protected keys, preferences, and encrypted backups. No. Zeta uses a single-owner lock for the local store. If another process already owns the store, the second process receives `STORE_ALREADY_OPEN`. The prototype enforces these limits: - 200 products maximum - 10 MB maximum import size - 10,000 import rows maximum - 100 orders maximum per reservation batch - 60-second order freshness window - 5-second database and provider timeouts Zeta encrypts inventory codes with AES-GCM. Windows DPAPI protects the encryption keys, and plaintext codes are never stored in the database. Zeta uses keyed HMAC fingerprints for duplicate detection without storing plaintext codes.
